The head of the ACCESS Health China program, Chang Liu, was invited to speak at a number of events across China on topics ranging from health financing to elder care. At the High Level Forum on Promoting Integration of Healthy Shannxi and Elderly Care in Xi’an City, Shannxi Province, Liu spoke about best practices of healthcare integration and elder care in different countries worldwide and provided suggestions for future developments in the province. More than 200 representatives from pension institutions, elder care enterprises, and elder care experts attended the Forum.
At the Asia Venture Philanthropy Network Conference “Solving Healthcare Challenges in Urban Asia” panel, Liu joined experts from Johnson & Johnson, Stetson Family Office, the George Institute for Global Health, and Quadria Capital Investment to explore social investment and cross-sector collaboration to address healthcare challenges in urban communities.
Liu also spoke at the Westlake Youth Forum 2019, hosted by the China Medical Board and Zhejiang University in Haining City, Zhejiang. The forum provided opportunities for knowledge exchange and networking for junior and senior scholars and policymakers. Liu was invited to speak about health financing and shared global examples of healthcare payment model innovations.
